The design team
gets even stronger!

We are really pleased to to be able to tell everyone that Holly Littlejohn has joined our team of designers.

We have been following (not literally) Holly ever since we gave her the student of the year award back in 2009, when she was at Northampton University. New client gains and the development of our already fantastic client base has finally given us the perfect opportunity to add her to our outstanding team of designers.

Wickes – they’ve got our name on it.

We’ve just just started working with Wickes on a couple of new projects; a strategic packaging proposition and a range building & development proposal, we can’t tell you any more at the moment as we’re still working on the blueprints but as soon as we get full planning approval we’ll keep you posted.

We have achieved top 30 status in ‘The Drum Design 100 Chart’ released on the 30th March.

Our 29th position in the chart, based on a national survey of design fee income and featuring all types of agencies covering many different design disciplines,  is a fantastic achievement.

We were also the 4th ranked agency in the Midlands’ area, number 1 for an agency specialising in Graphic Design.

Thank you to all of our fantastic clients for helping to put us there!

31 down, 36 to go!

No sooner have we completed artwork production for Herbalife’s Spring 2012 Product Brochure then we’re on with the next version. 64 pages of Herbalife’s product line across  31 EMEA market versions is no mean feat, but we do love the nuances of working with such a diverse international mix of market contacts.

We handle the translation, artwork localisation and approval process and provide a very efficient and streamlined production workflow, just the thing needed on these large scale projects to help keep it smooth for all those involved.

The new brochure, launching this Summer, features a complete re-design and an expanded market list to 36 versions. So with one brochure complete we’re all go on the next.

- Spartak Taylor Benson!

Playing in the 6 a side ‘Pitch-Invasion’ Leicester league, Spartak Taylor Benson are really beginning to gel together as a team with the help of a couple of great loan signings added to the squad. Having already cemented themselves in a strong position at the bottom of division 4, safe from relegation, they hope to really crack on in the second half of the season.

“We will be sick as a parrot if we can’t move on up the league, the team are really playing for each other now” commented team captain – Paulski Kaczmar, 30. Spartak’s goalie – Jonny ‘the cat’ Ragg, 40, added ” all we need to do now is stop letting as many in and scoring a lot more and we can fly up the table”

We don’t do things by halves, until now!

We’ve just designed a new mailer to help Antalis McNaughton launch their split pack offer, giving customers a greater choice of paper with less cost and waste, simply by being able to order paper in the quantities they require.

The Keaykolour mailer, the first on the Creative Papers portfolio to be offered in split packs, is beautifully printed with Pantones on contemporary coloured, laminated material with a zip perf that plays on the offer’s name and gives it a subtle twist. Proof, we think, that we don’t do design by halves.

Great design. Period!

We have just completed a truly original redesign of Wilkinson’s Femcare range, no twee daisies and
butterflies here!

Wilkinson’s tasked us with looking at the category in a different way and to create something that would compete with the top brands rather than being a me-to own label. Our solution uses abstract, free flowing imagery in bright, attractive colours against a clinical white background – attractive on shelf and yet discrete in the shopping basket.

The redesigned range is out now and looks great on shelf with customers coming back month after month to make
a purchase.

The ’12 things you didn’t know about Antalis Packaging’ calendar is out!

Designed specifically for Antalis’ packaging customers, each month combines product and service offers with punchy illustrations to communicate key messages in a new and innovative way. There’s beauty in the detail, our designs draw on the form and texture of the product to create a visual treat and a bold statement, all perfectly illustrated in-house. They really do turn packaging design into an art!

Design Remedies

We have just completed the redesign of Wilkinson’s extensive range of vitamins and herbal remedies.

The new design sets the tone of the product category perfectly with the use of bold straightforward typography and bright colours used against a clinical white background, whilst still maintaining a sense of humour through the character of the copy and simple iconic imagery.

The range is already proving to be very informative through the communication of the product benefits, incredibly easy to shop and hugely successful. So if you feel like you need a New Year ‘pick me up’ we would suggest you get down to Wilkinson and check out these great new designs!!

Christmas all wrapped up!

This Christmas we’ve been busy researching what everyone on the High Street’s been up to!

Focusing on packaging, we’ve looked at Christmas gifting, cards, gift wrap, decorations and home products across a variety of different retailers to find out what’s out there, both good and bad!

You only get one chance a year to gather this invaluable information and we know it will prove to be a great source of inspiration for the team for Christmas 2013 and beyond!
